Barred Owl

These are the birds which we have recorded at Sandhurst Shores.  Although in the past we were very active birders, we now only bird haphazardly, usually while searching for other things.  Because we spend most of the warmer months looking for dragonflies and butterflies, our bird observations during that period are even more casual than they are during the rest of the year.  So this list does not represent a very thorough survey of the birds that occur at Sandhurst Shores throughout the year.  There are a lot of species that could be added to this list, especially those that migrate through the area.
